CHINESE BRUSH PAINTING HANDBOOK ReviewBe warned: If you have used other books on Chinese painting, there is a good chance you have seen the material in this volume before. It is an amalgamation of material on Chinese brush painting culled from several sources, including 1) work by Pauline Cherrett and 2) Wang Jianan and Cai Xaoli's Oriental Painting Course. There is nothing, however, in the book or the Amazon product description that gives you any indication of this!
That said, if you are a beginner this might be a good book for you. It seems like they've taken their material from good sources. You might, however, be better off learning a consistent approach from a single author. Your call. For me, I'm returning it.CHINESE BRUSH PAINTING HANDBOOK Overview
