Knowing Your Trees ReviewThis is a great book. I heat my house with a wood burning stove, so I need to know about the different types of wood. What I really liked about the book was, it tells you what each tree weighs after it is seasoned. That way you know which trees give you more for your money. For instance, poplar weighs
24 pounds per cubic ft. Hickory weighs 63 pounds per cubic ft. It also tells you how to decide which tree is which. The only thing I wish it had, would be a picture of what the heartwood and sapwood look like after being cut. It tells you what it looks like but it would be better to have a picture.
