Sesame Street Ready, Set, Brush: A Pop-Up Book ReviewCute looking book, and elmo is a favorite. But the moving parts get yanked and are easily torn off the book. Scotch tape wont fix it because of the way the parts move. Reading this book isn't much fun either as the writing is bland. Wash, Scrub, Brush (Concept Books (Albert Whitman)) ReviewA good introduction to hygiene (including some of the "why bothers"). There is a small glossary at the back of the book defining terms such as germs, bacteria, earwax... I was hoping, however, for a simpler text for my toddler. Perhaps I am underestimating my daughter, but I am guessing that the word disease is not in her vocabulary yet! So, I will add my own comments. When a "sidebar" says "There are more harmful germs and bacteria under your fingernails than on a toilet seat!" I will simply add "Germs make you sick!" or some such sentence. Pony Brushes His Teeth ReviewMy 14 month daughter would not allow me to brush her teeth until we checked this book out at the library. She was so impressed with Pony, that she readily opened her mouth to let me brush her teeth like Pony. She thinks it's hilarious when Pony spits the water on Dad, especially when I make a spitting noise. We bought the book on Amazon. He shows everyone who comes to the house this book and talks about the pop up animals and how to brush.
